Guild anniversay - 4 year of adventuring
In the next few weeks the Lowland Lions will have their 4th year anniversairy. Jollie...will we arrange some festivities?
I think we should, but are their enough people still interested after the big suprise visit of Gaile last year. Oh my, i would love to invite Gaile, Regina and Linsey to the party. Gaile is such a party animal...heh heh.
The screenie was my personal rememberance of a nice party. I used it for a nice Christmas cheer to ArenaNet.
Or should i try to invite a top10 guild for a friendly match, just like two years ago when we invited Piece & Harmony. Oh It was much fun , those good old days.
Let's see what will come...
New title - Universal protector of ...
People stop playing Guild Wars due to no more goals they have. Some of the die hard players don't stop playing due to the diversity of characters they have started to play. When starting a new character you want to go to the end of a chapter very quick to unlock different high end missions, skills and other nice things. This means people do not do the bonus/master rewards. That is in my opinion the a pitty.
That's why my title idea comes in place.
A new account based title...the Universal protector title.
If you have ten characters on one account and establish every protector title on them you get tis title.
This is how it works:
Character 1 Warrior - Protector of Tyria
Character 2 Monk - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protector tear 1
Character 3 Elemenatlist - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protector tear 2
Character 4 Necromancer - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protector tear 3
Character 5 Ranger - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protector tear 4
Character 6 Ritualist - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protector tear 5
Character 7 Assassin - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protector tear 6
Character 8 Mesmer - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protectortear 7
Character 8 Paragon - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal protector tear 8
Character 8 Dervish - Protector of Tyria
Account based title enabled - Universal soldier tear 9 - Legendairy Universal protector of Tyria
Of coarse this is per chapter, Elona, Cantha and even GWEN. Even with hard mode enabled this could be added too resulting in a title like say God walks amongst Universal Envirmonent player (GWAUEP-title)...
After receiving tear 9 you could be rewarded with ie.
1. Multiplyer in droprate golds/specials
2. Price reduction at buying consumables, lockpicks etc...
3. Added to the hall of pve fame monument on internet/in game/guild hall
Advantage:

New title ideas
Hmmm let me think...it would be nice to have some new goals in the game.
I had some great idea's for new titles in the game.
In the game a great diversity of green special items and weapons can be found from different bosses around.
When you find a gold weapon you can identify them. If lucky you find a modification you have never found. This is added to a list of found modification. This way the identify proces has a nice feature and makes it some kind of an achievement to unlock all modifications.
By using this system of registration of which modifications are unlocked, the green weepons could also be registered when dropped from a boss. It's quit an achievement to gather all the green weapons, and storage is just to small to keep them all. Therefor when there is an NPC in de guild hall who register all the green weapons found on a boss could enable a new title. The GREEN CATCHER title, named after the shortname of a big friend of mine in the game...everytime we where adventuring he got the nice green drops...it was very frustrating. HA HA.
When registered, it could be possible to craft the weapon, personlized for you only therefor unlocking valuable space in the storage. I would like that because new nice additions (like the summoning stones, tonics etc) are keeping an appearance in the game. Only thing it cost storage space, valuable storage.
In the future i shall add more title ideas.

Minipet galore
During those events the people who have to large a ego pop up in the different outposts. They stand there showing of with their bought minipets. They think them self as elite GW players, with their way of arrogance. But unfortunately they are a discrace for the community.
It's strange that those people have these minipets. They bought them for a lot of in game money. Money i think could not be earned legitimate. Another strange thing is that those people reside in the oldest guild in the GW-universe, the developers guild.
That makes me even more sceptical.
With no new expansion, and me and others playing the game because it's beauty, want these superrare mini's too. But that will probably not happen. I am no elite. I am just me, helping people where i can asnwering all kind of questions, helping out others in their progress etc. That's the real fan i think, making fun for others.
And then what...others get a christmas card from ArenaNet....bummer.

Wealth farming
Wintersday has arrived in game. Very nice...this is the time to get up and running again to get some progress on some titles. Sugar, Party and drunk title here we come.
When in game money is no issue the title could be bought. Nowdays with the Zaishen predictons money could be earned very easy. I think lot's of people are buying extra accounts to make it possible to make predictions on more then one account. With good predictions it's possible to earn a minimum of 500k in one month. It´s a pitty you can buy some of the titles just when you earn enough money.
In game their are people who are really rich. They have so much money that they buy the nice stuff. Amounts are passing by on fora and in game you think that's not possible. 1500 ambraces, about 15.000.000+ platinum is a amount not normal for a game. Still thinking those people have taken advantage of the dupe-incident. But nevertheless they buy all the nice stuff, like the rare minipet Polar bear only dropping on Wintersday.
And then why i ask. People who like to play the game to gather things on a normal way have to farm their butts of. I think i have tried for the minipet polar bear for about 100 times. No bear for me. I am still stupid enough to try it again. Iritated i am that people buy them from others if you have lots of money. What is the reasson the developers want it so rare. People want the pet to take it with them to Guild Wars 2. But then it's still unsure what the use will be from the items placed in the monument in Guild Wars 2. The stats of armor and weapons will probably change so the skins are only to show off to others. I would be nice people in the guild wouldn't have to travel in my party to see my hall of monuments. And i wont start shouting in the chat: "who wants to see my HOM"....Ha ha.
Nevertheless, i would strongly appreciate if the polar bear having a normal drop rate. It's cute and would have a nice place next to me at a fireplace in a the wonderfull world of Guild Wars.
Darn i would like to be rich...just one special armor in my hall, no weapons, and still have played the game 7500 hours in the past 4 years...hmm what am i doing wrong. i love the game, without some regognition from the developers. LOL

Contacts fading away
Now days people are waiting for Guild Wars 2. It´s taking very long...even longer due to the fact we don´t see any news, screens or movies getting published by ArenaNet.
Therefor people who have been playing from the beginning are going to look for new adventures, they start playing other mmo´s and contacts are fading. This is what i always knew...during the game people had goals/achievements to fullfill. When those goals are completed people will be around for some time but eventually they move on. Other players leaving behind who still have to complete their achievements and where willing to help those leaving people.
It's a kind of unfairness, but ineffitable. You can't oblige people to keep on helping other people.
This is the time i am wondering will i keep the guild running or let it perrish, leaving behind good memmories. It´s a difficult question. Some people still needs help. But also for me there is more to see in the real world.
I still get online very often, to take on some quests or missions to achieve the individual goals. But the energy is lost to build up a strong alliance with other guilds and possible friends. My friendslist if full...now and then i am still contacted by friends from the past. But the interaction is fading away. Their are no guild goals to do, the most people have seen it, done it...
Am i done?
